radiofrequency treatment

Radiofrequency (RF) therapy, also called radiofrequency skin tightening, is a nonsurgical method of tightening your skin.

radiofrequency treatment

Radiofrequency skin tightening, or RF treatment, is a non-invasive procedure that some doctors do in their office. The doctor will use a wand that is connected to a machine that creates radio waves. They will pass the wand over your body to apply radio waves to your skin.

What are radiofrequency waves?

RF waves are a form of radiation. Radiation is the release of energy in the form of electromagnetic waves.

It can be classified as low energy or high energy depending on the amount of energy released. X-rays and gamma rays are examples of high energy radiation while RF waves are considered low energy.

Radio waves, WiFi, and microwaves are all forms of RF waves.

The form of radiation used in RF skin tightening releases about 1 billion times less energy than X-rays.

Wart removal

Warts are caused by infection with the human papilloma virus. There are many different types of human papilloma virus, each causing different types of warts. For example, common warts are associated with HPV 1, 2 and 4. Plantar warts on the soles of the feet (or verruca warts) are often associated with HPV 1, 2, 4 and 60.

Common warts are particularly common in younger people – as immunity develops to the wart virus, they become less common in adults.

Warts generally affect the skin, but also can occur in the anogenital region. Some sub-types of wart virus, especially HPV 16 and 18, can be associated with cancer of the cervix, anus and genital cancers, as well as some mouth and throat cancers.

Mole Removal

Most moles are harmless, but your healthcare provider might recommend removing a mole if it looks suspicious. Moles can also be removed for cosmetic reasons. Whether you have surgical excision or shaving to remove a mole, the procedure is quick and shouldn’t hurt once the area is numb. After the procedure, you may have stinging or burning around the area for a few days.

Freckles Removal

The laser freckle removal procedure works by targeting the melanin in your skin. The laser light is selectively absorbed by the pigment in the freckles, which heats up the pigment in the freckles and breaks up into tiny particles which can then be removed from the skin as part of your skin’s natural process.
